Trivium, formed in 1999 and released their debut “Embers to Inferno” in 2003. Members include Matt Heafy (lead vocals, backing vocals, lead guitar, rhythm guitar), Corey Beaulieu (backing vocals, lead guitar, rhythm guitar), Paolo Gregoletto (bass, backing vocals) and Travis Smith (drums, percussion). “Ascendancy” (2005), the band’s follow up to debut “Embers to Inferno”, entered the US chart at 151 and 78 in the UK. Career highlights include their opening slot at Download festival 2005 when they were met by the largest crowd the festival had seen for an opening act. Trivium released their third album in 2006. “The Crusade” was certified silver in the UK and reached number 7, selling more than 60,000 copies. The album also proved successful in the US making it to number 25 on the US Billboard 200. “Shogun”, Trivium’s fourth album, was released in the UK in October in 2008 and was certified silver with sales in excess of 60,000 copies. The album has sold an estimated 70,000 copies in the US (as of March 2009).
