Seminal punk rock band, The Ramones formed in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, in 1974. Original members consisted of Dee Dee Ramone (Douglas Colvin) bass guitar, vocals, Johnny Ramone (John Cummings) guitar (1974–1996), Joey Ramone (Jeffrey Hyman) drums (1974), lead vocals and Tommy Ramone (Thomas Erdelyi) – drums (1974–1978). They released their debut album, “Ramones”, in 1976. Their second album, Leave Home, released in 1977 features the well known "Sheena Is a Punk Rocker". “End of the Century” (1980) is the fifth album by the punk rock band and charted at number 44 in the US number 14 in the UK. The album is The Ramones’ highest charting album in both the UK and US. “Subterranean Jungle”, released in Feb 1983, reached number 83 on the US Billboard. The band’s eleventh studio album, “Brain Drain” (1989), is the last to feature Dee Dee Ramone. It includes the single "Pet Sematary", written for the film by Stephen King. “Adios Amigos” was their fouteenth and last studio album released in 1995. Just over eight years after the band’s break up three of the original members had died. The Ramones documentary “End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones” was released in Summer 2004 and in 2007, “It's Alive 1974-1996”, a DVD featuring concert footage of the band was released.
