British rock band Motörhead formed in 1975 and released their debut “Motorhead” in 1977. Band members consist of the founding member Ian ‘Lemmy’ Kilmister (vocals and bass), Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor (guitar) and Mikkey Dee (drums). Their second album, “Overkill” (1979) marked the band’s first break in the UK Top 40 at number 24. “Bomber”, also released in 1979, saw an even higher chart position reaching number 12 in the UK Albums Chart. Motorhead’s fourth album, “Ace of Spades”, made it to number 4 in the UK in November 1980. The title track also did well in the UK reaching number 15 in the singles chart. “Iron Fist” (1982) brought further mainstream success for the band with the album peaking at number 6 in the UK. In May 2000 the band began the We Are Motorhead tour across South and North America alongside their fifteenth album release. Two years later the band released “Hammered” and “The Best of Motorhead” DVD which features some of Motorhead’s performances from the ‘70s and ‘80s. Their 19th album, “Motorizer”, was released in 2008. They spent the rest of the year touring which ended with a 34 date tour of Europe alongside Danko Jones, Saxon, Witchcraft, and Airbourne. "The Wörld is Yours" will be the bands twentieth studio album and will be released via an exclusive publishing deal with Classic Rock magazine on 14 December 2010. The standard CD release of the album will go on sale on 17 January 2011, through Motörhead's own label, Motörhead Music.
