Californian heavy metal band, Machine Head formed in 1992. Rob Flynn (vocals, guitar), Adam Duce (bass), Phil Demmel (guitar), and Dave McClain (drums) make up the current line up. “Burn My Eyes”, the band’s debut, was released in August 1994. Following the release the band began touring heavily. Three years later they released “The More Things Change…” and toured on their first Ozzfest in support of the album.
“The Burning Red” was released in 1999 and is Machine Head’s second best selling album. Their fourth album, “Supercharger” (2001) debuted at number 115 in the US and was followed by their first live album, “Hellalive”.
In 2005 the band performed to their largest headling crowd on the True Metal stage at the Wacken Open Air festival. Their sixth studio album, “The Blackening”, entered the US charts at number 53 and sold 15,000 copies in its first week of release.
Machine Head set off on tour in 2007 around North America with Lamb of God, Trivium and Gojira to promote “The Blackening”. Machine Head have announced their plan to tour Europe in 2010 before they begin writing their next album. It was announced on the August 31st that Machine Head would tour through Europe and UK in 2010
