The Welsh quartet formed in 1998. Originally known as Jeff Killed John, they later changed their name to Bullet for My Valentine. Matt Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael ‘Padge’ Paget (lead guitar), Jason James (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Michael ‘Moose’ Thomas (drums) were childhood friends. They released their first album, “The Poison”, on 3rd October 2005 which has sold one million copies worldwide. The group released four singles from the album, “4 Words (To Choke Upon)", "All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)", "Tears Don't Fall". and “Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow (What Can I Do)", which appears on the soundtrack of Saw III. Bullet followed the album success with a worldwide tour and appeared at Download Festival, Vans Warped Tour and Kerrang! XXV. They have also opened for rock giants, Metallica and Guns N’ Roses. “The Poison: Live at Brixton” DVD featured the band’s performance at the Brixton Academy in January 2006. “Scream Aim Fire”, the band’s second studio album, was released in 2008. The album entered the UK Charts at number 4 and has sold over 319,000 copies worldwide. Last Summer Bullet for My Valentine toured the US with the Rockstar Mayhem Festival and as part of the Sonisphere tour in the UK. The band's third album, Fever, was released on April 26, 2010 and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. The band has sold over two million albums worldwide and are the most-successful act in the Kerrang! Awards category of "Best British Band" with three wins.
